A delegation led by Professor. Xia Wei, the president of Shunde Polytechnic paid a visit to Edmonton from August 21 to 25, 2016. The Delegation successively visited 3 Canadian units including Norquest College, China Town Care Center and NAIT (North Alberta Institute of Technology). During the visit, the delegation investigated Canadian educational status and specially the vocational education development. A MOU between Shunde Polytechnic and Norquest College was signed. Proposals on diploma programs and internationalized apprenticeship were discussed separately with NAIT and China Town Care Center.

Edmonton and Shunde have been sister cities for years. This visiting activity was kindly supported by Edmonton Shunde Benevolent Association and Guangzhou office of Alberta Government of Canada.
