Shun Fung Culinary School-The International Call to foster more Master Chefs

Shun Fung Culinary School at USCI University is the first high-quality overseas culinary school with the support of a top Chinese polytechnic and an international university.

The establishment of Shun Fung is the result of the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between UCSI University (UCSI) and Shunde Polytechnic (SDPT) – one of China’s foremost polytechnics – that co-provide teaching resources and some teaching staff in the field of culinary art.

This partnership and the school attract international students from all over the world who are interested in Chinese and Oriental cuisine in English-speaking environment. For visiting master chefs from the Shun Fung Group the school provides excellent translation and interpretation service to make sure good communication can be achieved during the training and education.

The partnership will help to train more skilled professionals and aim to become a first-class, internationally renowned vocational school in culinary art.

With the exchange system between the two higher institutions in China and Malaysia, teaching staff, researchers, managersl and students from both institutions would enjoy better academic mobility and exchanges.

Renowned the world over, the Shun Fung Group is one of the three F&B delicacy and restaurant groups that are publicly listed on China’s stock exchange. Shun Fung has already opened a restaurant in Perth, Australia.

As one of the foremost polytechnics in China, the Shunde Polytechnic has more than 135,000 students. The students and teachers of the college of Tourism and Hospitality Management teachers joined other first-class teams to provide F&B services at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the Shanghai World Expo and the Guangzhou Asian Games and won acclaims from various walks of life.
