On 16th November, Mr. Huang Jianxiong, Chairman of Shunde Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Mr. Qiu Guosheng, Deputy Director of Shunde Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Development Office, Prof. Luo Dan, Vice President of Shunde Polytechnic (SDPT), Prof. Ning Shunqing, Director of International Education Exchange Center of SDPT, Prof. Chen Jian, Dean of School of Culinary of SDPT, Prof. Gan Muyi, Dean of School of Hospitality and Tourism of SDPT and other representatives visited Macau University of Science and Technology. Prof. Ben K, Dean of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management of Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.), Prof. Chen Jian, and Prof. Gan Muyi signed MOU on behalf of both parties.

At the signing ceremony, Lin Zhijun, Vice President of M.U.S.T. delivered a welcome speech and introduced the university. M.U.S.T. expected more and deeper cooperation in the fields of disciplinary development, academic and scientific research and hoped to create great significance for educational cooperation and exchanges in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Luo Dan, Vice President of SDPT also introduced the college to M.U.S.T. and expressed cooperation expectations on strengthening cooperation on hospitality and tourism management discipline, jointly building Greater Bay Area cuisine and tourism communication platform and collaboratively cultivating international talents.

Both parties reached a consensus on topics such as international platform construction, disciplinary cooperation. Prof. Ben K, Dean of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management of M.U.S.T., Prof. Chen Jian, and Prof. Gan Muyi signed MOU on behalf of both parties.

After the meeting, three Chinese Culinary Master Chefs: Chef Luo Nanfu, Chef Li Yongtai and Chef Feng Riyuan from SDPT demonstrated the classic Shunde cuisine skills and famous dishes for culinary students of FHTM. Chinese gastronomic culture has a long history, and Shunde has been awarded the title of "City of Gastronomy" by UNESCO in 2014.
