On June 22, 2022, a forum for Hotel Housekeeping Innovation and Sustainable Development was carried out in Shunde cooperative center of Guangdong –Hongkong-Macau Greater Bay Tourism Education & Training Base. This is the 5th forum of the base since its foundation last year.
Ms. Lijiayuan, keynote Lecturer of the forum, is housekeeping manager from Macau famous hotel “City of dream-nÜwa Macau”. She shared her experience and innovative philosophy of hotel housekeeping frontier innovation and suggested career development direction to audience.
“Dirty, tired, inferior, hard” seem to be buzzwords by students during interaction with the lecturer. Ms. Lijiayuan slide-demonstrated the technology of electric water elevator, bed mattress lift etc., and explained that advanced technologies have liberated hotel housekeepers from laborious work, meanwhile service, quality, environment protection are more emphasized.
Ms. Li Jiayuan advocated that hotel housekeeping value can be shown by diversity, customer experience, individualized service. Hotel housekeepers should improve their learning competence to achieve the excellence and take use of the popular IT such as short video, webcast to realize diversified development of hotel service.
As one of key programs of Foshan Guangdong - Hongkong - Macau Greater Bay harmonious cooperative development zone, Guangdong –Hongkong-Macau Greater Bay Tourism Education & Training Base is a joint platform under cooperation among Shunde government greater bay office, Shunde Polytechnic and Macau College of Tourism. The base aims for further development of the greater bay tourism and the talents.
