In the morning of July 24th, the Chairman of the Control, Automation and Instrumentation Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, the Fellow of the British Royal Chartered Institute of Metrology and Control and the honorary president of the Hong Kong Branch, the president of the Hong Kong Society of Metrology and Automation, professor and engineer Lofa-cheng led a team to visit our college for research and exchange. Mr. Qiu Guosheng, Executive Deputy Director of the Shunde Office of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Mr.Yang Xiaodong, vice president of Shunde Polytechnic, and heads of relevant departments attended the investigation.

On the meeting, Mr Le Facheng gave a report entitled "The Importance of International/Accredited Professional Engineers", introducing the types, scope of work and employment opportunities of international accredited engineers in Hong Kong, and expressed appreciation for the development achievements of Shunde and Shunde Polytechnic. He believed that there is broad space for cooperation, and looked forward to exploring new opportunities for cooperation together to contribute to the high-quality collaborative development of the Greater Bay Area.

Mr.Yang Xiaodong introduced the basic situation and development plan of the Guangdong-Aachen Industry 4.0 Application Research Center, and said that Shunde Polytechnic will continue to promote the integration of industry and education, college-enterprise cooperation, training of high-end skill talents, and enable local enterprises to upgrade production capacity and sustainable development, and look forward to promoting the external exchange and cooperation of the college to a new level through cooperation with the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.To facilitate the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Mr. Qiu Guosheng introduced the economic and social development of Shunde, and expressed his expectation to carry out in-depth cooperation with the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers on the basis of Shunde Polytecnic and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Collaborative Development Cooperation Zone as the carrier, focusing on industry, science and technology, youth and culture to achieve a win-win situation, promote the integrated development of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

After the meeting, the research team visited campus and the Guangdong-Aachen Industry 4.0 Application Research Center.
