A delegation of Japanese scholars visited our university

    On June 23, a six-member delegation led by Dr. Masanari Koike—former visiting researcher at Tsinghua University's Japan Research Center and scholar from Japan University—conducted an academic exchange visit to our university. The delegation was welcomed by Yang Xiaodong, Party Committee Member and Vice President of our university, along with university leader Lian Lingdong. Key personnel from the International College, Party Administration Office, College of Design, and College of Intelligent Manufacturing participated in the accompanying discussions.



    During the meeting, Yang Xiaodong extended a warm welcome to Koike Masanari and his delegation. He expressed that the university places high importance on its internationalization strategy and hopes to establish in-depth cooperation with Keio University in areas including sharing international educational resources, jointly building industry-academia innovation platforms, and deepening faculty-student exchanges. By leveraging both parties' complementary strengths, they aim to jointly enhance talent cultivation quality and international influence. Lian Lingdong provided a detailed introduction of the university's educational scale, disciplinary characteristics, achievements in specialty development, as well as positive progress made in international exchanges in recent years. He emphasized the expectation to use this exchange as a significant opportunity to further deepen collaboration and jointly explore new models and directions for the innovative development of vocational education.


    Koike Masanari shared Keio University's development experience in areas such as academic program development, curriculum design, and international collaboration, noting that the two sides have broad potential for cooperation in vocational education internationalization and cultivating innovative talents. Subsequently, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on deepening educational cooperation models, expanding channels for cultural exchange, and facilitating academic resource sharing, mapping out a clear path for future collaboration.


    The delegation then visited the College of Design and the Guangdong-Aachen Industrial 4.0 Application Research Center. At the College of Design, they observed the institution's teaching achievements and innovative practices in the field of art and design. The Guangdong-Aachen Industrial 4.0 Application Research Center impressed the delegation with its advanced intelligent manufacturing equipment and industry-education integration model, prompting on-site discussions about industrial technology innovation and joint talent cultivation.
