On the morning of July 4th, our university held an exchange meeting with Midea Group on the joint cultivation of international technical and skilled talents. The meeting was attended by Huang Yuan, Director of Midea Group’s Kitchen & Water Heater Dishwasher Factory, Zhang Yatao, HR Manager for Skilled Talent Development, and six other HR specialists. Representing our university were Vice President Luo Dan, Dean of the International College Ning Shunqing, Deputy Dean of the School of Energy and Automotive Engineering Xie Fei, as well as faculty members from relevant functional departments and secondary colleges.

During the meeting, Luo Dan warmly welcomed Huang Yuan and his delegation, and systematically outlined the "three-step" strategic plan for university-enterprise cooperation. The first phase will involve collaborating with partner institutions such as Thailand's Chitralada Technology Institute to jointly conduct short-term campus recruitment activities. The second phase will focus on jointly establishing a Midea customized class for "Chinese language + professional skills", implementing a talent cultivation model of "two years of on-campus study plus one year of internship at Midea". The third phase aims to align with the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework to cultivate professional technical talents with international certification capable of serving multinational markets.

Huang Yuan stated that university-enterprise cooperation is a crucial direction for talent strategy, as it helps cultivate technical professionals who meet the needs of overseas factories while promoting cultural exchanges between China and other countries.

During the meeting, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on international talent cultivation, vocational education going global, and the establishment of university-enterprise cooperation mechanisms, reaching multiple consensus points. Both parties unanimously agreed to take this exchange as a starting point to accelerate the implementation of various cooperative initiatives and jointly explore new models for cultivating internationalized talent.
