On November 24th, the "Top 10 Benchmark Cases for Internationalization and Industry-University Collaborative Global Expansion of Guangdong Vocational Colleges" selection announced its results. After multiple rounds of rigorous evaluation, the case submitted by our university — “Shunde Vocational and Technical University & Midea Group: A Benchmark Practice in Industry-University Collaborative Global Expansion” — stood out among numerous vocational institutions across the province and was successfully selected for the Top 10 list.
Our university's benchmark practice with Midea Group in collaborative global expansion has achieved systematic innovations and breakthroughs across multiple dimensions. Institutionally, we established a "government-school-enterprise-industry association" quadpartite collaborative ecosystem. In terms of methodology, we pioneered an integrated "dual-track teaching + teaching-as-service" mechanism where faculty teams provide direct technical services for production lines while delivering instruction. Regarding implementation pathways, we developed self-developed bilingual course packages and workshop scenario-based digital teaching resources, cumulatively exporting five professional standards in areas including Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technology and Industrial Robotics that have been adopted by institutions in Laos, Thailand, and other regions. The program's core integration deeply combines vocational skills with language training and Chinese culture, forming a distinctive "skills + culture" dual-output model.
Building on this existing foundation, the university will steadfastly advance along the path of "education follows industry, school-enterprise advance together." While ensuring high-quality service for current cooperative projects, we will progressively apply these proven practices to more countries and regions. Through continuous optimization of our collaboration models and enhancement of service capabilities, we are committed to cultivating more high-quality technical and skilled talents to meet the needs of regional economic development and national strategic demands.
