On June 10th, Mr. Kajtiti Wiwatwanont, Consul General of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou, Ms. Porpot Changyawa, Deputy Consul General and delegation, visited Shunde Polytechnic University (SDPTU).
They were accompanied by Mr. Jinhao Kuang, Section Chief of the Shunde District Foreign Affairs Bureau. The delegation was warmly received by Vice President Luo Dan, together with representatives from the School of International Exchange and Cooperation, School of Culinary Arts, School of Intelligent Manufacturing and the School of Energy Engineering of SDPTU.
At the symposium, Vice President Luo highlighted the university’s achievements in internationalization, particularly its collaborative programs with Chitralada Technology Institute (CDTI) and Chinese enterprises operating in Thailand. She reaffirmed SDPTU’s commitment to deepening the university-university-enterprise model, aiming to cultivate high-quality, skilled local talents to support Chinese businesses in Thailand.

Consul General expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, and praised the existing cooperation as an exemplary model for Sino-Thai educational exchanges. He noted the strong and enduring friendship between the two nations, and put forward several practical proposals to further boost bilateral cooperation in vocational training.
Following the symposium, the delegation visited the School of Culinary Arts (Shunde Chef School), where they tasted herbal tea prepared by students.

The visit builds on long-standing close collaboration between the two sides. In June 2023, during Princess Sirindhorn’s visit to Guangdong, the Thai Deputy Consul General attended a prior cooperation meeting between SDPTU and CDTI, and provided crucial support for the future faculty and student exchange programs.
