Shunde  Polytechnic (SDPT), one of the most influential higher vocational education institutes in China,  has invited Glion Institute of Higher Education(GIHE) in Switzerland, one of the world-famous international hospitality management education institutes, to cooperate and help to establish the China-EU International Hospitality Management Education Centre to develop a high standards international hospitality & tourism management education program together, in order to deliver the world class training and research in China.

The two institutions establish a cooperative working relationship so as to faciltiate credit transfer and student/faculty exchange for the advancement of International Hospitality Management Education in China.

Based on the unique advantages of Chinese Cuisine and Culinary Art in Shunde city, SDPT will endeavor to advance the exchange and development in Chinese-Western Culinary Art with the assistance of GIHE by carrying out the International Exchange Project that includes educational training and standardization.

From September 2011, SDPT have selected 60 of its existing on-campus students as the first batch of cohort for this project to establish “China-Europe International Hospitality Management Education Cooperative Class” The students from Cooperative Class will have the opportunity to further study in GIHE after they have successfully received the Diploma from SDPT and have met the requirements prescribed by GIHE.
