Applied Chemical Engineering

TRAINING OBJECTIVES This major educates the students to be high-quality and socially adaptive professionals who are capable of engaging in the coating production, design, analysis, detection, colour measurement and matching, coatings application (i.e. painting), production management, coating sales service. They are instilled in favourable professional ethics, which includes honesty and trustworthiness, unity, cooperation, diligence and devotion. They are trained to have professional skills in coating production, colour matching, coating analysis and detection, traditional coating, art coating, coating sales service, and coating sales.

TRAINING OBJECTIVESThis major cultivates technical students who are engaged in coating production and management, coating analysis and detection, colour modulation for coating, traditional painting, artistic painting, marketing for coating, and who are honest and diligent, possessing sustainable ability.

MAJOR CHARACTERISTICApplied chemical engineering was awarded the college level key development major in 2006 and it obtained the award of provincial level of Exemplary Specialty Program in 2007. In 2008, as the key developed major, applied chemical engineer participated in the program of State-level Key College Development and Cultivation and was supported by the Ministry of Education. Since 2010, the major has participated in the National Outstanding College Development Program as one of the priority majors.
